REMEMBERING BANKIM CHANDRA CHATTERJEE ON HIS BIRTHDAY
Bankim Chandra Chatterjee also known as Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay was one of the greatest novelists and poets of India.
He was born on June 27, 1838 in the village Kantalpara of the 24 Paraganas District of Bengal.
Also known as Sahitya Samrat, Bankim Chandra is the writer of fourteen novels and composer of the song Vande Mataram’, which became a popular marching song in India’s freedom movement and is now India’s national song. All his literary works are the bearer of great courage, nationalism, and Indian culture.
