Gandhi Jayanti celebration and Swachh Bharat honouring at MGCV
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, popularly known as Mahatma Gandhi, is regarded as the Father of Nation. Gandhi was a social reformist and leader of the Indian Independence Movement who introduced the idea of non-violent resistance called Satyagrah.
He organised the Dandi Salt March in 1930 and Quit India Movement in 1942.
His symbol of self-reliance – the spinning wheel – became a popular symbol of the Indian Independence Movement.
Today 02/10/23 Our Secretary Sri S Ravindran and Our Correspondent Dr R Mathurubootham paid their due respects by offering garland to the Mahatma Gandhi Statue and Photo in our school campus.
The Swachh Bharat Mission was launched on October 2 on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti that commemorates the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi also known as Mahatma, Bapu or Father of the Nation.
‘Ek Tareekh, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath’ Campaign is a mega cleanliness drive in which people from all walks of life, from politicians to students must participate in an hour-long “shramdaan” for the cleanliness of the surroundings after all
“Cleanliness is godliness.”
Our beloved Secretary Sri S Ravindran always says
“சுத்தம் சோறு போடும்”.
We also proudly state that the housekeeping angels of our school have always maintained the school spick and span. Hats off to all our school housekeeping incharges.
The management honoured the house keeping Incharges for their self-less contributions towards maintaining the campus neat and clean.
