We celebrated 75th Independence Day at our Vidyalaya with great zeal and enthusiasm. We organized various events like
Tamil speech, Tamil essay writing, essay writing – English/ Hindi/ Sanskrit, drawing, colouring, fancy dress, Tamil speech, Tamil essay-writing, English essay-writing, Hindi essay-writing Sanskrit speech and drawing.
The day started with Matru vandhanam followed by flag hoisting by the Guest of Honour – Mrs Kalpana one of our senior teachers. Dr Gayathri Mathrubootham, Principal Mrs A Poorna and Vice Principal Mrs Vijayalakshmi R preceded the function.
Flag song and Tamil thaivazthu was sung by our music students.
The event commenced with a fabulous display of March past by class IX & X students.
Welcome address was given by Miss Srinidhi Sri of class X followed by the Independence day address by the Guest of Honour Mrs Kalpana. Dr Gayathri Mathrubootham addressed the gathering by her motivational speech where she emphasized the importance of Ahimsa.
Speech on various languages like English, Tamil, Hindi, Sanskrit on freedom were given by our students and teachers. Kollattam and group song were some of the cultural events. Prizes were distributed to all the winners of various events and independence day participants today i.e. August 15th 2022.
